Candle Safety Disclaimer
At Cue the Candle, we take pride in creating hand-poured, small-batch candles designed to elevate your space. While we ensure the highest standards in quality, it is essential that all customers follow safe candle-burning practices. Please read the following guidelines carefully.
General Safety Guidelines
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when leaving a room or before going to sleep.
Keep candles away from children and pets. Curious hands and paws can easily cause accidents.
Avoid flammable surfaces and objects. Always place candles on a heat-resistant, stable surface, away from curtains, paper, bedding, furniture, and décor.
Keep away from drafts. Air currents can cause uneven burning, excessive smoking, or lead to accidental fire hazards.
Trim the wick. Always trim to about ¼ inch before each use to maintain a steady flame and reduce soot.
Do not burn for extended periods. Limit burning time to a maximum of 4 hours at once to avoid overheating the container or wax.
Leave space between candles. If burning multiple, place them at least 3 inches apart to prevent uneven melting or overheating.
Extinguish properly. Use a candle snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax to avoid splattering. Do not blow directly onto the flame.
Container & Wax Care
Stop use when only ½ inch of wax remains in the container to avoid heat damage to surfaces or the vessel.
Do not move a burning candle — allow the wax to cool and harden before handling.
Avoid using water to extinguish a candle, as this can cause hot wax to splatter.
Health & Air Quality
Burn candles in well-ventilated rooms, but away from strong drafts.
Do not burn near open windows where gusts of wind can spread flames.
Avoid burning candles in small, enclosed spaces without airflow.
